Paralytic and pseudoparalytic shoulder: exploration, diagnosis and treatment options
The term shoulder pseudoparalysis continues to spark debate within the medical community. It encompasses extensive rotator cuff tears, wherein the ability for passive movement is preserved, but active range of motion is restricted, all while lacking any neurologic impairments. A suggested review includes criteria assessment for nerve restoration, transfer, or palliative procedures in addressing cases of paralyzed shoulder following traumatic neurological injuries in adult patients.
