Milking Maneuver (Elbow Valgus Stress)

Anatomical Movement: The forearm forced supination with elbow flexed.
Testing position: Patient is standing or seated, the forearm is supinated fully and the elbow is flexed beyond 90 degrees. The elbow should be stabilized with one hand, the thumb or wrist is then pulled laterally, creating a valgus force on the elbow.
Expected Findings: Pain, instability, or apprehension is indicative of injury to the medial collateral ligament complex.
