Prevention and Treatment of Monkeypox
The purpose of this newly published scientific review is to describe the management of a zoonotic virus- human monkeypox. Even though most cases are presented by a self-limited disease, antivirals and vaccines are being suggested for severe cases. Data also suggest that clinical manifestation may be improved if there was a prior immunization with smallpox vaccine. Authors present a detailed insight into prevention, prophylaxis and treatment measures, while CDC is developing interim guidance.
