International Society of Limb Salvage 2022

The 21st ISOLS congress takes place from September 6 to 9 in Los Angeles, USA, at the Laskin Center UCLA (University of California, Los Angeles, USA).
The history of the creation of the society dates back to the 50s of the last century, when, in fact, the concept of "limb salvage" for malignant bone tumors first appeared - the use of techniques for the reconstruction of post-resection osteoarticular defects. In 1970, a group of scientists led by the founder of the department of oncological orthopedics at the Mayo Clinic (USA), Jack Ivins, held the first international seminar "Design and application of tumor prostheses for the reconstruction of bones and joints." Since 1985, meetings of specialists in this field have become regular and have become a professional society for the exchange of experience in patient management, observations and research in the field of orthopedic oncology, educational experience among orthopedic surgeons and related specialists: oncologists, bioengineers, pathologists, radiologists.
The goal of ISOLS is to promote research, education and clinical practice related to tumors of the musculoskeletal system.
Three days full of presentations, lectures, workshops performed by world-class specialists in the field of onco-orthopedics. And, of course, the inspiring atmosphere of one of the scientific centers in the United States - the University of Los Angeles, UCLA, famous for its traditions.
