Society for the Study of Inborn Errors of Metabolism Annual Symposium
On behalf of the International Organizing Committee (IOC), the Local Organizing Committee (LOC), and the Japanese Society of Inherited Metabolic Disorders (JSIMD), an invitation is extended to join the 15th International Congress of Inborn Errors of Metabolism (ICIEM 2025), held under the theme "Capital of Tradition Witnesses Cutting-Edge Transformation." The congress will take place from September 2 to 6, 2025, at the Kyoto International Conference Center.
Following JSIMD’s successful hosting of the 4th ICIEM in Sendai and the 10th ICIEM in Makuhari, the field has continued to evolve rapidly over the past two decades. Major advancements have been made in understanding disease mechanisms, developing novel diagnostic tools, and creating a variety of therapeutic approaches—including enzyme replacement therapy, cell transplantation, and gene therapy—for inborn errors of metabolism. ICIEM 2025 will feature a rich scientific program, offering keynote lectures, plenary sessions, and symposia designed to highlight these exciting developments.
