EAHAD 2027 is the 20th Annual Congress of the European Association for Haemophilia and Allied Disorders, a four-day meeting on inherited and acquired bleeding disorders. The anniversary edition comes to Brussels, the city where EAHAD has its headquarters, and takes place at Tour & Taxis, an early-1900s goods warehouse site redeveloped into an event venue.
The scientific programme covers the organisation of haemophilia treatment centres, innovative therapeutic strategies, laboratory advances, musculoskeletal health, gene therapy and gene editing, von Willebrand disease and rare bleeding disorders. The organizers present it as relevant to all subspecialties of the field, from laboratory science and treatment innovation to physiotherapy, psychosocial care and the daily running of a treatment centre.
The congress opens with the Allied Health Professionals Day for nurses, physiotherapists and psychosocial professionals. Its joint session looks at how new treatments are changing care, including factor versus non-factor treatment and gene therapy, while dedicated sessions address frailty, PROMs and PREMs, outreach programmes, needle-related anxiety and pain-related trauma. An Ultrasound Workshop is also part of the programme. Abstract submission and early-bird registration are open on the congress website.
