CEPAS 2026 – Congress of the European Paediatric Academic Societies, Lyon

Key facts

CEPAS 2026, the first Congress of the European Paediatric Academic Societies, takes place from 28 to 31 October 2026 at the Lyon Convention Centre in Lyon, France. Pre-Congress Courses are held on Wednesday, 28 October, and the main congress runs from Thursday, 29 October to Saturday, 31 October. The congress brings together paediatric subspecialties, from neonatal care to adolescent medicine, to advance child health through research, education and collaboration.

CEPAS is the new biennial meeting of the European Academy of Paediatrics and the European Society for Paediatric Research, organised in collaboration with the Global Foundation for the Care of Newborn Infants. After more than 15 years of joint work, the two societies introduced it as the successor to the European Academy of Paediatric Societies Congress, and they are working with other paediatric scientific societies to ensure broad representation.

The organizers promise cutting-edge research, expert-led educational sessions, hands-on workshops, poster presentations and an industry exhibition. Workshops and Pre-Congress Courses can only be booked together with a congress ticket. Early career investigators can apply for ESPR awards and travel grants, including the ESPR Early Career Investigator Prize and the Bengt Robertson Award for neonatal lung research. CEPAS 2026 is an in-person congress, and EACCME accreditation has been applied for.
