The ASCRS Annual Meeting 2027 is the yearly congress of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, described by the organizers as the premier U.S. meeting dedicated to anterior segment surgery. Ophthalmologists working in cataract, cornea, refractive and glaucoma surgery meet to review techniques, technologies and outcomes.
The meeting is organised in several parallel programmes. The ASCRS Program serves surgeons, Subspecialty Day offers a focused clinical day, and the ASOA Program covers business and practice management, including workflow, premium IOLs, team development and practice growth. A separate Technicians & Nurses Program supports the wider eye-care team, and the SightLine programme rounds out the agenda.
Teaching formats include expert-led lectures, hands-on workshops and interactive labs, with live demonstrations of cataract, cornea, refractive and glaucoma technologies. Braindate networking sessions let attendees arrange small-group discussions with peers. According to the organizers, physician registration gives access to more than 300 hours of education. Hotel reservations for San Diego are already open on the official website, and pages for speakers, exhibitors and press are available there as well.
