ASCO GI 2027 – Gastrointestinal Cancers Symposium, San Francisco

Key facts

The 2027 ASCO Gastrointestinal Cancers Symposium is built around navigating the path from innovation to implementation, linking new research with real-world practice in GI oncology. The meeting is organised by the American Society of Clinical Oncology and cosponsored by the AGA, ASTRO and the Society of Surgical Oncology, reflecting its multidisciplinary audience.

David Shibata chairs the 2027 symposium, with Nilofer S. Azad as chair-elect and Mary Feng as immediate past chair, and Kevan M. Shokat gives the keynote. The programme combines scientific sessions, abstract and poster presentations and exhibits. Abstract titles are released on 15 December 2026 and full abstracts on 19 January 2027. The 2026 edition drew more than 5,000 attendees from 54 countries.

Attendees can register in person or online only and can switch between the two until the cancellation deadline of 17 January 2027. The ASCO Meetings App lets participants build an agenda, access abstracts and posters, download slides and watch live and recorded sessions. Recordings become available shortly after each session ends.
