AHA Scientific Sessions 2026 is the main annual meeting of the American Heart Association on cardiovascular science and medicine. The programme covers the whole field, from foundational and translational research to clinical trials and their use in everyday care. This year the organizers are adding new formats and tracks, including Core Cardiology for clinicians focused on evidence-based care, along with hands-on experiences in AI, simulation and guideline-driven care.
Guidelines and new trial data are central to the 2026 programme. Sessions will review the 2026 AHA/ACC multi-society dyslipidemia guideline, the new 2026 ACC/AHA recommendations on pulmonary embolism and the AHA/ACC/ADA/ASN guideline on cardiovascular-kidney-metabolic syndrome. Late-Breaking Science sessions cover prevention, stroke outcomes, arrhythmia care, cardiometabolic risk reduction and AI in cardiovascular diagnosis. Joshua D. Angrist, PhD, Nobel laureate in economics, will give the Nobel Laureate Address on clinical trial methods, and Patrick W. Serruys, MD, PhD, will deliver the Paul Dudley White International Lecture, Coronary Revascularization in 2040.
Participants who cannot travel can follow livestreams from Center Stage, rooms S100A and S105ABC, special sessions and selected ReSS26 sessions. Replays appear within 24 hours and remain available until 20 November 2026. Professional members who register receive Scientific Sessions OnDemand access as a member benefit. Clinicians, scientists and innovators with a product idea can also join the one-day Innovation Forum, which requires its own registration.
