AAOS 2027 is the annual meeting of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, bringing the orthopaedic community to Las Vegas for expert education, hands-on learning, networking and the latest innovations in musculoskeletal care. The organizers have reshaped this edition around attendee feedback to make it more streamlined and attendee-focused.
The meeting now starts on a Wednesday to better fit clinical schedules and travel. AAOS education and the Exhibit Hall run from Wednesday to Friday, while Specialty Society Programs take place on Saturday. ICLs are included with registration and run as one-hour sessions, with smarter scheduling meant to reduce overlap and leave time for the Exhibit Hall. Posters, ePosters and a Poster Tour Theater are available from Wednesday to Friday.
The Exhibit Hall brings together industry exhibits, the Innovation Theater, the OrthoDome, the Orthopaedic Video Theater, Ask An Expert, a Career Center and an Engagement Theater. Credits are open to physicians licensed in the United States and abroad; the AAOS notes that it is not accredited to offer credit for nurses and other allied health professionals. A mobile app for iOS and Android helps attendees plan their days, and late-breaking abstract submissions are open.
