33rd Annual Meeting of the Asian Pacific Association for the Study of the Liver (APASL 2024)
APASL 2024 Kyoto, known as the Center of Hepatology, serves as a pivotal platform for the exchange of cutting-edge expertise and experiences across the entire spectrum of liver-related topics. Remarkably, this marks the second occurrence of the APASL Annual Meeting in Kyoto since its last gathering in 2007, which saw the participation of 2,937 attendees from a remarkable 65 nations.
The establishment of APASL in 1978 was underpinned by the noble mission to spearhead research pertaining to the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of liver and biliary tract disorders, thereby benefitting the populace in the Asia Pacific region. Furthermore, this initiative was driven by a commitment to foster the growth of medical science and the enhancement of medical care. Notably, the Asia Pacific region stands as home to the world's largest population, with a striking statistic that 70% of the global liver disease patient population is concentrated within these boundaries.
